The farmhouse grounds contain volcanic rock (basalt) originating from a volcanic intrusion that outcrops 1,800 meters from Garrigoles to La Tallada d’Empordà. A karst aquifer of ash has been stored at a depth of 400 and 900 meters, capable of providing flows of over 50 m3 per hour of hot water at a temperature of 60°C. Analyzed in 1970 by scientists from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Bordeaux, they were considered unique in the world due to their composition.
Finally, on July 20, 2011, the team of specialists led by Enric Viñas Gisbert, a mining specialist with a degree in groundwater hydrology from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (CIHS), determined the potential uses of the spring water for bottling, thermal water for therapeutic purposes, steam for vapor therapy treatments, and resources from section "A" (basalt quarry).

Highlights: as previously mentioned, sulfuric hot water. It consists of four completed chambers with the potential for many more.
